Sample Submittal
Sample Submittal
All requested testing services require an analytical request form with an account number or PA#, signature of the project leader, sample information, and your bookkeeper’s name, email, and phone number. If submitting samples from outside NCSU, then you do not need to provide an account number for billing. After work is completed NCSU will send you an invoice with instructions for payment options.
Anyone requesting a testing service is encouraged to contact laboratory personnel before submitting a request form to discuss the nature of your request, any safety issues regarding your samples, proper sample storage, and proper sample preparation.
Testing is generally done on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early submittal of sample testing requests is critical if analyses are required to meet project deadlines or completion of student thesis research. Please contact us with any critical time demands prior to sample submittal, and we will do our best to help you meet your deadlines.
Please email the completed submittal form and an excel sheet to eats-laboratory@ncsu.edu before submitting your samples. The excel sheet should contain your sample numbers and ID name in first two columns and elements need to be analyzed should be listed in the next columns. The excel file should be named as “PI last name _ Date of submission” for example NandaKafle_10202021. You can physically submit the samples with the completed submittal form at William hall Room # 3319 on the same day of your email or next day (within 24 hours).
If you want your remaining samples back after analysis please contact us within 30 days after getting the results. We will hold your samples for 30 days after sending the results then we will have to discard them.
